(U)MARINE AVIATION DEMONSTRATION/VALIDATION

Abstract

Marine Aviation Demonstration/Validation supports the development of Marine Aviation's future capability concepts, progressing these efforts from concept through demonstration and transition into Program of Record (PoR). This Program Element includes funding for the development of USMC Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL), Marine Air-Ground Task Force Unmanned Aerial Systems Expeditionary (MUX), Tactical Air and the requisite capabilities that enable a cohesive capabilities-based portfolio approach for future Marine Aviation concepts. This PE will include development and prototyping efforts to progress high-risk technology areas in support of future Marine Aviation capabilities. JUSTIFICATION FOR BUDGET ACTIVITY: This program is funded under ADVANCED COMPONENT DEVELOPMENT AND PROTOTYPES because it includes all efforts necessary to evaluate integrated technologies, representative models or prototype systems in a high fidelity and realistic operating environment.
