Abstract

The Stateside Affordable Radar System (STARS) is an ARMY effort managed by the Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense Office (JIAMDO). Beginning in FY14, PE 0604445F funds the establishment of an Air Force program office and development of acquisition documentation in preparation for the program transferring to the AF in FY16. For further details please refer to PE 0604445J. This program is in Budget Activity 7, Operational System Development because this budget activity includes development efforts to upgrade systems that have been fielded or have received approval for full rate production and anticipate production funding in the current or subsequent fiscal year.
