SDTS

Abstract

This project provides for the Hull Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) and remote control system maintenance aboard the Self-Defense Test Ship (SDTS) in support of the Navy Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) of ship self-defense systems. Testing aboard this ship provides the capability to safely test self-defense weapon systems within their minimum range and reduces the number of fleet units required to support RDT&E efforts. Funds are used to purchase expendable supplies, routine equipment maintenance, and repairs and supporting services.
