NAV/COMMS
Abstract
This project funds NAV/COMMS engineering change proposal (ECP) upgrades to the navigation and communication of the Tactical Tomahawk (TACTOM). TACTOM navigation modernization will enable launch via a fine alignment solution and navigation using TERCOM/DSMAC/Vertical Update Point in a GPS denied/degraded environment. TACTOM communications development replaces 5Khz DAMA with Advanced Communication Architecture (ACA) leveraging National Technical Means (NTM), replacing the Satellite Data Link Terminal (SDLT) with an Integrated Single Box Solution (ISBS) that combines Dual Transmit and Receive Capability in a single box, replacing existing UHF antenna and adding a second band antenna.
