Rapid DNA Processing Initiative
Abstract
This initiative is examining alternative technologies to expedite the identification, collection and processing of DNA samples in an expeditionary environment. This includes the development of technology to process DNA using alternative microfluidic technologies as well as training on existing and future DNA sampling techniques. The primary output of this program is to develop an alternative rapid DNA processing capability that will allow the warfighter to produce a DNA profile in less than 60 minutes in the expeditionary environment.
