Basic Res in infect Dis, Oper Med and Combat Care
Abstract
This Project builds fundamental scientific knowledge contributing to the sustainment of United States Army scientific and technology information to solving military medical problems related to infectious diseases, operational medicine and combat care. This Project provides the means to exploit scientific breakthroughs and avoid technological surprises, and fosters innovation in areas where there is little or no commercial investment due to limited markets (e.g., drugs and treatments for tropical diseases). FY20 realignments are due to financial restructuring in support of Army Modernization Priorities. The work is consistent with the Under Secretary of Defense (Research and Engineering) science and technology focus areas and the Army Modernization Strategy.
