A CONVENIENT AND ACCURATE SEMI-EMPIRICAL ENTROPIC EQUATION FOR USE IN INTERNAL BALLISTIC CALCULATIONS

Abstract

A semiempirical equation of state was developed which permits the solution of the internal ballistics problem and represents accurately the effects of the intermolecular forces over a wide range of pressures and densities. Since the semiempirical equation is similar in form to the perform to the perfect gas equation, it is as convenient in application to interior ballistic calculations.
