SOME CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ELLIPTIC GAUSSIAN DISTRIBUTION

Abstract

Gaussian impact distributions of various types. Possibly this reflects a renewed attention to methods for estimating the kill probabilities of hardened point targets, now that city populations may no longer be the target of interest. The distribution of the points of impact of bombs, missiles, and other projectiles frequently is approximately Gaussian ("normal") in character. 2) The Circular Coverage Function. 3) The Elliptic coverage function.
