MECHANICAL, OXIDATION, AND THERMAL PROPERTY DATA FOR SEVEN REFRACTORY METALS AND THEIR ALLOYS

Abstract

This report is a supplementary compilation on the mechanical properties and oxidation resistance of the refractory metals Cr, Co, Mo, Re, Ta, W, V, and their alloys. Tensile, creep, transition temperature, oxidation, thermal conductivity, and thermal expansion data are listed for these metals and their alloys. Recrystallization, stress rupture, strain rate and aging, grain growth and size, ductile-brittle behavior, and interstitial impurities data are also given.
