INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR CONVERSION OF NORLANT FSK-2 AND FGC-5 EQUIPMENT TO 8-CHANNEL OPERATION

Abstract

Instructions are given for the conversion of the NORLANT radio and multiplexing equipment from 2, 3, or 4 channels of 60-wpm teletype information into a 4-, 6-, or 8-channel system. The conversion is accomplished by increasing the bandwidth and improving the performance of the FSK-2 receiver and by combining two 4-channel FGC-5 units into a single 8-channel unit. No changes are necessary in the FSK-2 exciter.
