Transonic Wind Tunnel Testing

Abstract

This AGARDograph presents a review of the extensive efforts made during the last 15 years to develop practical transonic wind tunnels and discusses their performance and limitations. Emphasis is placed on the design and operational characteristics of both types of modern transonic wind tunnels, that is, on wind tunnels with either longitudinally slotted or perforated test sections. Each chapter of the AGARDograph has been made as complete as possible, with its own series of figures and a separate list of references and bibliographical material.
