ESSENTIAL FACTORS OF THUNDERSTORM FORECASTING

Abstract

A method for formulating a mathematical relationship between the occurrence of thunderstorms and several essential prior conditions is demonstrated. A winnowing of 24 thunderstorm-forecasting parameters led to the isolation of five essential factors and an expression demonstrating their possible relationship to thunderstorms.
