A NEW METHOD OF SHF AMPLIFICATION BY FERRITES

Abstract

A study was made of SHF amplification by ferrites in the presence of a magnetic-loss medium. The analysis was made on the basis of the solution of equations of motion of the gyromagnetic moments of a magnetized ferrite material under the action of 2 transversely polarized SHF signals of close frequency and of a longitudinal fluctuating reaction field. The solution of the problem was sought in a coordinate system which rotates synchronously with a constant (in magnitude) magnetic moment of the sample. The actual creation by the method under examination of a ferrite SHF power amplifier operating at powers less than 100 mw is represented, where the amplification factor is above 10 in the frequency band for which the difference frequency of the signal and local oscillator is with a few mc's.
