POISSON'S EQUATION AND GENERALIZED AXIALLY SYMMETRIC POTENTIAL THEORY

Abstract

A method is developed by which one may obtain solutions to the non- homogeneous equation of generalized axially symmetric potential theory (GASPT). Representation formulae are obtained and the method is shown to be extendable under certain symmetry conditions to the Poisson equation in three variables.
