DESIGN AND EVALUATION OF A FLEXIBLE, THRUST-MEASURING TEST-STAND MOUNT

Abstract

The design and evaluation of the flexure-cell, a flanged column with strain gages attached, are discussed. Tables, graphs, and equations show the characteristics of the flexure-cell. Results show that this flexible test-stand mount is cheap, hence expendable, and capable of thrust measurements of fairly high accuracy.
