SEGMENTED ROCKET MOTOR CASE PROGRAM

Abstract

This is an interim report on a research and development program directed toward design, development, fabrication, and testing of lightweight motor case segments, culminating in a design applicable to large (160- to 240- in. dia.) segmented solid propellant rocket motors. A summary of work accomplished on the bench test program and on the 43-in. dia. subscale segments is included.
