WESSEX HU MK. 5 XT 484 DECK LANDING TRIALS ON RFA LYNESS BY DAY AND NIGHT

Abstract

Trials have been conducted to establish the limits for operating Wessex helicopters from the flight deck of Royal Fleet Auxiliaries of the -NESS Class. Landings and take-offs were made by day and night, on board RFA Lyness, (15,000 tons) and recommendations are made for service use.
