High Altitude Performance Test of the YJ97-GE-3 Turbojet Engine (S/N E447052) (Part 2)

Abstract

A turbine endurance test was conducted on a YJ97-GE-3 engine. The test conditions and procedures are reported herein. In addition, the effects on engine performance of shaft power extraction, tailpipe thermal insulation, and exhaust gas swirl are presented along with the exhaust nozzle isentropic gross thrust coefficient.
