SOVIET NUCLEAR RESEARCH REACTORS OF THE IRT-2000 TYPE. REVIEW OF SOVIET LITERATURE

Abstract

This summary presents a detailed description of six Soviet experimental reactors of the IRT-2000 type, viz.: the Moscow IRT-2000 reactor, the Salaspils IRT-2000 reactor, the Tbilisi IRT-2000 reactor, the Tomsk IRT-2000 reactor, the Sverd lovsk IRT-2000 reactor, and the Malyye Dubny IRT-2000 reactor. (The name of each reactor indicates the city in which it is located.) The presentation includes background information, design features, reactor parameters, and information on experimental facilities and experiments conducted with the reactors, together with illustrations and diagrams. The report is based on Soviet open literature.
