STUDIES IN FUNCTIONAL EQUATIONS OCCURRING IN DECISION PROCESSES

Abstract

Certain problems are considered which arise from a stody of the Bales decision making model. The Markov process associated with this model is considered and existence and continuity, as well as a functional equation, are obtained for the limit distribution. Generalizations of this functionalequation are discussed and a detailed treatment is given for the one-dimensional case.
