DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH-ENERGY SOLID PROPELLANT FORMULATIONS. VOLUME 2: BERYLLIUM PROPELLANT HANDLING MANUAL

Abstract

This report outlines the purpose, objectives, and results of an industrial hygiene program. A detailed description of the facilities and methods utilized for the control of beryllium during the production and static test firing of beryllium-containing propellants is presented. Environmental sampling data as well as the data collected from a downwind sampling network are included. The data demonstrate the feasibility of producing and static test firing beryllium containing propellants.
