ATLAS OF SIGNALS AND NOISE

Abstract

This atlas is designed as a guide for those interested in the signals recorded at the Wichita Mountains Seismological Observatory (WMSO). Examples of signals, phases, and noise are included. In many instances, the examples may be considered typical. Due to the nature of several of the subjects, some given examples must be considered atypical. Reference to this atlas should provide assistance to those engaged in routine analysis of WMSO seismograms by illustrating the many different characteristics of signals and noise that appear on the seismograms.
