A PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION INTO THRESHOLD BEHAVIOR OF PERIODIC SHOCK WAVES IN RESONATING GAS COLUMNS.

Abstract

This study had a threefold purpose: (1) to show the effects of variation of amplitude on the occurrence and character of periodic shock waves; (2) to increase one's knowledge of the effects of other parameters; (3) to demonstrate the feasibility of the use of an electrodynamic shaker for generating shocks for further experiment.
