An Electronic Analogue for Certain Difference-Differential Equations

Abstract

This report describes an electronic analogue of difference-differential equations with a variable parameter. The investigation is limited to the comparison of the observed self-excited frequencies with the calculated values given by the harmonic roots of transcendental characteristic equation. The agreement between the observed and the calculated values is within 5 per cent. This discrepancy is partially due to the experimental errors and partially to the fact that the non-linear frequency correction has not been taken into account in the calculation of the harmonic root.
