Lessons Learned, Doctrine for Personnel Assignment and Rotation

Abstract

On 17 Jul 70, DCSPER presented the Project STRAIT (Short Tour Replacements from Advanced Individual Training) briefing to the VCofSA. Its objective was to determine when assignment and separation policies can be changed to provide AIT graduates an assignment in CONUS based units prior to deployment to short tour areas.
