LASER RESEARCH

Abstract

Recent laser work of the Optics Division, Naval Research Laboratory is reviewed. The major topics covered include the effect of pumping on ruby quality, optical examination of lanthanum fluoride, testing of large ruby laser rods, dc operation of the AH6 mercury tube, hologram experiments, fast Q- switching, and magnetic Q-spoiling experiments.
