The Method of Transverse Approximation in a Hypersonic Flow

Abstract

The direct problem of hypersonic flow about blunt-nose bodies is solved by the method of apriori Ansatz of stream function dependence upon the transversal coordinate counted along the normal to the shock wave. The case of the linear approximation is considered in detail.
