Re-Entry Heating Simulation

Abstract

The report describes a method of calculating aerodynamic heating for the purpose of evaluating materials for use as possible reentry heat shields. The procedure may be described as a simplified re-entry flight simulation. The report gives in detail the assumptions made, equations used, and the form of presentation of the results. It does not give the results of such calculations.
