SURVEY OF METHODS OF ANALYSIS FOR PLASTIC DEFORMATION OF STRUCTURES UNDER DYNAMIC LOADING

Abstract

The survey provides a critical study of methods for the analysis of metal structures under dynamic loads leading to large plastic deformation. Relevant material behavior and analytical and numerical methods are summarized. Emphasis is put on critical study of experiments, particularly on beams, with consideration of strain rate sensitive plastic behavior.
