POLARIZATION PROPERTIES OF THE PARABOLOIDAL ANTENNA: AN ANALYTICAL STUDY

Abstract

The study is a theoretical investigation of the polarization properties of the paraboloidal antenna for both the focal feed system and the Cassegrain feed system when the feed horn is either circularly or linearly polarized. The properties are analyzed in terms of general analytic equations and also in terms of quantitative graphs pertaining to the specific case of a 30-foot diameter paraboloidal antenna.
