AUTOMATIC INFORMATIVE ABSTRACTING AND EXTRACTING

Abstract

An investigation was made concerning the development of automatic indexing, abstracting, and extracting systems. Basic investigations in English morphology, phonetics, and syntax have been pursued as necessary means to this end. Experimental indexing and extracting systems are being developed.
