ON RECURSIVE COMPUTATION

Abstract

The application of Miller's algorithm is investigated for backward recursion to difference equations, where the coefficients have a representation as an asymptotic series. The convergence of several methods are discussed which are related to Miller's algorithm and which can be used when Miller's algorithm does not converge. A number of examples are included.
