FRACTIONAL FACTORIAL DESIGNS FOR EXPERIMENTS WITH FACTORS AT TWO AND THREE LEVELS

Abstract

The catalog contains fractional factorial designs for use in experiments which investigate m factors at two levels and n factors at three levels. The grand mean mu, all main effects, and all two-factor interaction effects are estimated. All higher order interactions are assumed negligible and their absence allows estimation of the error variance. A design has been constructed for each of the 39 pairs (m,n) included from m+n=5 through m+5=10, (m, n not equal to zero). The design for (m,n) is designated DESIGN (2 superscrip m) (3 superscript n).
