SECOND GENERATION CARTRIDGE CASE FOR 152 MM WEAPON FRANGIBLE GLASS AND CERAMIC CONCEPT

Abstract

The objective of the program was to conduct an exploratory development program, to determine the feasibility and practicability of developing a second generation cartridge case for the subject weapon systems, that has as its prime characteristics, self-disposibility, i.e. the case or its fragments are not to be deposited in the vehicle after firing. Detail performance goals are listed in this scope, as is relevant background information.
