An Approach to the Evaluation of Strategies in Insurgency

Abstract

The objective of this research was to formulate models and techniques which could be used to evaluate insurgent activity. Work has been carried out in three major areas toward the accomplishment of this goal, using South Vietnam as the study area. Based upon the structural characteristics of the transport network within the study area three techniques are illustrated which can be used as first approximations of the insurgents potential strategy.
