The Corrosion Properties of Airframe Contaminants

Abstract

The investigation was concerned with the analysis and corrosion testing of a series of fluids collected from the bilge areas of aircraft of the Royal Air Force, Air Support Command. Assessments were also made of the influence of stress, reduced oxygen levels, microbiological action and general environment when relating the corrosion behaviors.
