A Nomographic Procedure to Calculate Gas Flow Parameters

Abstract

The purpose of the report is to present graphical solutions to the equations for isentropic flow of ideal gases at subsonic, sonic, and supersonic velocities. Knowing only the weight flow, molecular weight, pressure, temperature, k values, and the exit pressures (vacuum), the reader will be able to design a flow system by specifying pipe sizes, venturi throats, and exit diameters without the use of computers.
