The Theory of Explosion Induced Ship Whipping Motions

Abstract

The report presents a comprehensive account of the mechanics of, and methods for predicting, the interaction between the vertical vibration modes of a surface ship and a nearby underwater explosion. It summarises earlier work in the field and gives a full unified account of the author's recent work.
