Recent Developments in Flight Flutter Testing in the United States

Abstract

The paper summarizes advances in the rapid and accurate determination of flutter characteristics due to the use of high speed computers and the development of new techniques. Comments are presented on some flight flutter testing procedures in use or under development as reported by some of the major US aerospace companies.
