Degradation of Polymers at Low Temperatures by NO2, O3 and Near-UV Radiation

Abstract

A tensile strength, a static and a dynamic stiffness tester were constructed for use in measuring appropriate mechanical properties of polymers as a function of temperature, environmental conditions (i.e. air plus nitrogen dioxide, ozone, or of the pollutants alone), exposure time and pollutant concentration.
