The Mark II Re-Entry Program

Abstract

The Mark II Re-entry Program computes zero angle of attack ballistic trajectories of vehicles which enter the earth's atmosphere. Forces acting on the vehicle due to the atmosphere, winds, and gravitational attraction of the oblate earth are computed. The resulting accelerations are summed and numerically integrated by means of Obrechkoff integration formulas to obtain vehicle position and velocity.
