COMBUSTION OF SOLID PROPELLANTS AND LOW FREQUENCY COMBUSTION INSTABILITY

Abstract

This report summarizes studies of ammonium perchlorate deflagration, combustion of sandwiches of ammonium perchlorate crystals and binders, behavior of aluminum in the combustion zone of propellants, oscillatory combustion of propellants in several experiments, and experimental measurement of attenuation of axial mode oscillations in models of rocket motors.
