Calculation and Design of Joints Made from Composite Materials

Abstract

This report contains a study of joints made from fiber composite materials. Several types of joints are considered, such as bolted and adhesive joint. Elements for a rational joint design are presented, as well as test results. A finite-element computer program, used to obtain stress distributions incomposite joints, is included.
