All-Optical Quasi-Phase Matching for Laser Electron Acceleration

Abstract

This report summarizes the technical outcomes of the project "All-Optical Quasi-Phase Matching for Laser Electron Acceleration," a project awarded to the Pennsylvania State University by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The results of test particle simulations, particle-in-cell simulations, experimental production of plasma channels, and novel optical diagnostics for radially polarized modes are discussed in detail.
