Sensitive Equipment Decontamination

Abstract

Allied forces must be fully prepared to respond to, and recover from, the consequences of a CBRN incident. In this context, more and more highly Sensitive Equipment has found its way into use with NATO forces. Along with this, the problem of decontamination of such equipment, which is very often deemed mission-critical, gains importance. This study is aimed at supporting the operational specialist as well as the force builder when it comes to the issue of Sensitive Equipment decontamination. It describes todays situation as well as provides a glimpse into the intermediate future with regards to actual and future systems for the decontamination of Sensitive Equipment. Special attention is paid to the usability of the information in this study for the operational community by applying the DOTMLPF-I schematic wherever possible.
