Evaluation of a Melt Infiltrated SiC/SiC Ceramic Matrix Composite

Abstract

A dedicated experimental test program characterized the mechanical behavior of a melt infiltrated SiC/SiC ceramic matrix composite material at room and elevated temperature. This report describes tensile, creep, and fatigue testing procedures and presents the results.
