Double Tunneling Injection Quantum Dot Lasers for High Speed Operation

Abstract

The objective of this project was to explore the potential of a novel type of semiconductor laser double tunneling-injection (DTI) quantum dot (QD) laser for high-speed operation. To accomplish this objective, a comprehensive theory of such lasers should have been developed and the major factors affecting their modulation bandwidth should have been thoroughly studied.
