Direct Photolysis of Propyl Nitroguanidine

Abstract

Direct photolysis of propyl nitroguanidine in water was performed using a solar simulator. Rate constants determined at 35, 45, 55, and 65 deg C were used to calculate photolysis half-life. Rates and half-life for photolysis of cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine (RDX) and nitroguanidine under identical conditions are given for comparison.
