Advanced Modular Manikin

Abstract

The goal of project is to conduct research and development towards the realization of a next generation Advanced Modular Manikin (AMM) designed as an open-standard modular manikin platform. The AMM team is building a core simulator platform that is designed for the flexible integration of peripheral simulators, the assemblage of which represent a broad spectrum of human conditions for military medical and trauma training. The modular manikin will include central computing capabilities, wireless data transmission, fluidics, power management and medical simulation capabilities using open-source / open-standards to facilitate the connectivity of basic and customizable peripheral modules.
