Abstract

There were no major changes in the mission an functions of the Transportation Section during the period covered by this report. There were no major changes in the organizational structure of the Transportation Section during the period covered by this report. Summary of Major Operational Highlights: Early in Jan. Red Ball ferry service between Moji, Japan and Pusan, Koreas was increased. On 8 Jan., the Commanding General, Eighth Army requested that the US Navy Hospital ships Consolation , Repose, and Haven be committed to the Eighth Army for use as station hospitals at Pusan, Korea.
